Me
Hello, my name is Yiannis. I am a software developer located in Calgary, Alberta Canada. My work has primarily focused on operational development in a consultant environment. Through my years in consulting I worked with many different clients, mostly focusing in government work. I have developed automated and manual scripts for sensitive data validation, parsing and unit testing. My primary focus has been with the Microsoft ecosystem, touching on Azure DevOps, Azure Cloud D365 and more.
Outside of my professional life, my passion for personal projects focus on visual design. From computer graphics and animation using C++ with libraries like GLFW and OpenGL to testing out different softwares like TouchDesigner. I also enjoy creating visual design using Photoshop, InDesign and more Adobe applications.
My hobbies include skateboarding, skiing and hockey. I have been skateboarding for more than 14 years of my life and when there is no snow on the ground in Calgary you can find me at the skatepark. I enjoy travelling and backpacking through new cities and countries. I am currently in the process of receiving my Greek Citizenship within the next few months and will be available for work in the EU without need for a visa.
